The food is less than mediocre at best, but because he's the only sushi restaurant in The Village of Oak Creek he's randomly busy; which is the only reason why we ever went there. Tonight was the final straw. We walked in a little after 8 which was apparently closing time. Having been in the service industry for 20 years I completely understand not wanting to take last minute patrons. HOWEVER, he literally gave me the "time out" symbol with his hands and told me to get out. Had he said, "I'm sorry, but we're closed," I would have understood.

I will not be going there again and you shouldn't either. Being a grumpy old man isn't good for business. Closing on a Friday at 8 is rather ridiculous as well.

When I arrived with my child to have a special treat, the owner (?) pointed rudely at a table and said "that is the only clean one." So we smiled and said "no problem" and sat down. Then I realized I forgot my phone in the car so I got up to go get it and told him I would be right back. He barked at me that he was closing soon and I said "well I just want to get my phone, do you want us to eat here - do you want us to come back?" He thought about it for way too long and said "fine, go get it but I close at 1:30." After I left I realized how much I did not want to be a patron of such a rude person and deal with his negative energy while trying to have a nice "date" with my 10 year old - so decided not to return - ever. Too bad because we just moved to the neighborhood and would have been frequent customers as we love sushi.

No fancy rolls, but excellent basic sushi. Yellowtail sashimi is wonderful. Small; sometimes slowish service, but just relax and enjoy.

No Zen Vortex in this place! Just went in to ask about a takeout menu and the older owner was beyond rude and unhelpful for the most basic questions such as hours of operation. Needless to say, no thanks...there are other options!

Their sauces were good but the food was terrible. Nothing was fresh. Not the edamame, not the vegetables, not even the avocados. They was stale. The crab was dry and the rolls fell apart. The steak was cooked in places but raw in others. The waitress told me, "It's okay, it's cooked over here". I sent back my cali roll because I asked for no Masago (smelt eggs) but I got a few anyway. The sushi chef got mad as hell and had a fit. He picked off a few of the eggs he accidentally put on my roll and gave it back to me. He didn't even remake it. After all this, it somehow ended up being over $80. At this restaurant the customer isn't right. Nobody should eat here... EVER!!
