I asked the butcher for something once, which he gave me, and it was so over priced I gave it back, told him it was too expensive for me. Today when I walked by he started yelling MAYDAY, MAYDAY as I walked by to the other butcher.. definitely directed toward me. The other butcher who seems to be much more professional ignored him. At least one employee is professional.
It is extremely over priced, cheaper to go to Whole Foods which I do when I am on that side of town. But mostly it's the rude staff.
Probably one of the smallest grocery stores I have ever encountered, however everyone working there was really friendly. The locals seem to know the people who work there which also indicates the character of the store. Prices were not crazy for the products we bought. They even have a pharmacy section, spirits and alcohol, and prepared foods.
I moved in to this neighborhood a year ago and much to my dismay have had to shop here on occasion. It has been a miserable experience almost every time.
There is an employee on the day shift, which I think may be some kind of manager, that complains about the main manager on an almost constant stream. To customers, other employees, anyone she can get to stand still for more than 5 minutes. But worse still is a guy in produce and the tall butcher with the glasses. The produce guy acted like he was going to punch me when I reached for some asparagus once, he was very angry for some reason and took it out on me. When I told the manager, he told me the guy only works in the morning, to come in later in the day. Nice.
This is my local market so popping in every day to see my neighbors and pick up dinner is a pleasure. Prices are not low but, then again, look where we live. I'm happy to pay "Red Rock Prices" if it means I get to live here!
I have never seen such a turn over in employees in my life. It has to be a management issue. It is clear this is a very unhappy workplace, and I can see why.
Never cared for this store except when it was at their first location. Funky and great fresh veggies, fruits and meats. Now just poor quality meats, fruits. veggies - overpriced.
Great "pitstop" shopping for locals. Great variety for a small store. Fantastic sale prices on select items weekly. Bring your patience to the checkout during peak shopping times (ie 5-6pm). Friendly & helpful staff.
I have never been treated so badly in a place of business in my life, and on a consistent basis. I will never go back here, I will drive the extra 6 miles to go to a store on the other side if town. HORRIBLE place, STAY AWAY!!!
